MC Hammer arrested, says he is victim of racial profiling, takes to Twitter (videos)

Stanley Kirk Burrell, also known as "MC Hammer" was arrested in Northern California and was booked and released from the Santa Rita Jail, located in Dublin, California, the same day. There is confusion over the day of his arrest with TMZ reporting it was Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, and CNN reports he was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.  Authorities state that MC Hammer obstructed and resisted an officer while the 50-year-old "You Can't Touch This" singer states he was a victim of racial profiling.

He used Twitter to share some of his feelings regarding the incident, while Dublin authorities released a statement to CNN regarding the incident. MC Hammer Twitter

Here are some of MC Hammer's tweets posted on his official account.

CNN obtained the following statement from Dublin Police Department spokesperson Herb Walters through a written email. "After asking Hammer who the registered owner was he became very argumentative and refused to answer the officer's questions."
